Are you really offering a whole book template for just $167?
Yes, I really am. And I'm throwing in 50 professional photographs, 12 customizable blog posts, and 6 cover designs as well. Can I really change whatever I want?
Yes, that's the whole point of the books! While you could simply take my books "as is" and publish them, the more of yourself you put into them, the better they will be as tools for your practice. The only thing you can't change is the copyright, as the Wellness Wordsmith retains all copyrights for the protection and benefit of all the professionals who purchase the template. You are also responsible for ensuring that you have free use of any images or intellectual property you incorporate into your book beyond what we provide for you in the package. The Wellness Wordsmith accepts no responsibility for improper or illegal use of such material.
How many pages does the book contain? How many words? And what does it cover?
The Customizable Nutrition Template is 100 pages, and just over 12,000 words. It covers the basics of whole foods and nutrition… why our nation is in a health crisis, the wonders of plant based diets, the concepts of bioindividuality and primary foods… and of course, the value of working with a professional like you. What it covers, how many pages and words it is… all these things will change once you make it your own. The Weight Loss Book is just a bit shorter, around 10,000 words, and the e-books are around 5000 words each.
What size is the book, and how do I get the book printed?
The nutrition and weight loss books are each a 4.25 x7 paperback template that is most easily converted to a physically printed perfect bound book through the good folks at 48 Hour Books.com. The e-books are generally not printed. They come in a larger, 8.5x11 format and can be printed however you like, if you choose to do so.
Do you offer the printed version option or just the electronic one?
I do not offer printing services myself. You can use the digital template to create an ebook and/or a physical book. www.48hrbooks.com is the printer I recommend, although you are certainly free to pursue other options for printing the book. When you purchase the package, I include a comprehensive "how to" guide to walk you through every aspect of getting your book to completion.
How much is reasonable for a sale price for the book?
I actually don't advocate selling the books themselves. They work best as tools to market your services and establish your credibility, not as a profit generator. You might try selling the nutrition or weight loss book for a modest price such as $5.00 or so during a talk you give, perhaps by having a book signing opportunity after the lecture.
Can you tell me a little more about the bonuses?

Ella Beavers is my partner and the photographer for the business, and you can see more of her work here. She’s also put together the simple but attractive book covers you see here. Feel free to choose one of these, or use one as a template as your own. You don’t have to use these covers, of course, but we felt it would be good to give you the option. And the 12 blog posts cover the following topics: childhood obesity, the folly of dieting, healthy shopping and cooking, preventing cancer with food, reversing heart disease with food, healthy eating on a budget, the dangers of fast food, eating organic and local, superfoods for kids, eating well during the holidays, eating well while you travel, and making food your friend and not your foe.
Can I do whatever I want with the book template and bonuses?
The content in the book template must remain in the template and not be extracted and published for any other purpose. The photos remain the property of the Wellness Wordsmith and are for your use in customizing the book only, not for any other purpose. If you are interested in purchasing the rights to use Ella's photos for other purposes, you may buy the photo package separately for a very reasonable $17. The covers are obviously intended for the book, but since they are customizable Word documents and you can modify them, you can use them for other purposes. The blog posts can be used in your blog, on your website, or in any newsletters you might publish for marketing purposes only. I know you understand that we are offering this package for substantially lower than its total value considering the work we've put into it, and we appreciate your support in helping us protect our intellectual and creative property.
If lots of other coaches and wellness professionals also buy the template and package, isn’t it possible people will know I didn’t write the book?
This is a good question. First of all, professionals from all over the world are buying these books, and unless several people in your town buy the same book, odds are no one will ever really know this. If you take the time to customize each book for your own market, customize one of the covers we give you (or even come up with your own), and use it for its primary purpose – which is to establish your credibility with potential clients and offer as a gift to them – it really will be your own book and will serve its purpose exceptionally well. I'll be honest – I never wrote this with the intention that it will end up on the New York Times Bestseller list! The content I've written is nothing earth shattering or new – it's common sense, basic information about eating and living well, and it wouldn't be surprising at all to find several wellness professionals all writing about the importance of staying hydrated, eating greens, and getting enough sleep. If you are interested in a book that is more uniquely yours, we can talk about doing more customized contract work – which will still be a very good price, but obviously more than what is possible with the Instant Author package.

I feel a little funny buying a book you wrote, and then claiming I wrote it. Can you help me with that?
Ghostwriting is such a common practice these days. It's very acceptable, ethical, and legal to hire someone to do for you what you can't or aren't able to do for yourself. This product is kind of like ghostwriting in reverse – instead of hiring someone to do some work that you may or may not like, for a price that you likely can't afford, you are able to decide if you want to purchase content that's already been written at a predetermined price that is very clear. I also encourage you to tweak it to make it your own, which means you didn't simply buy my book; instead, we collaborated. If on the slight chance someone did notice a similarity between your book and one that a colleague has also customized, you can easily say that you collaborated with an established writer in the health and nutrition field to get the book out, and leave it at that. The fact is, when people are interested in working with you, they aren't that interested in whether or not you are a good writer. The book simply points to what really IS true – that you are a credible and trusted professional in your field, and that you do what you do well.
I plan to use your template as a foundation for my book, but intend to make substantial changes. Will you still retain the copyright?
